Chris Marsh Clark to Join Off- Broadway's ‘Heathers The Musical’

The Off-Broadway revival of “Heathers The Musical” will introduce a new cast member later this month as Chris Marsh Clark takes over the role of Ram Sweeney at New World Stages.  

Clark is scheduled to begin performances on April 27, following the departure of original cast member Xavier McKinnon. 

McKinnon recently played his final performance in the role. In the interim, understudy James Caleb Grice will continue as Ram through April 26. During that period, Daniel Brackett will step into Grice’s usual ensemble tracks, including Beleaguered Geek and Officer McCord, from April 13 to April 26.

In a statement, McKinnon reflected on his time with the production, sharing, “I have had the best time at Westerberg High and will miss the Heathers cast so much, especially my fantastic scene partner, Cade Ostermeyer.” 

“I’m sad to leave, but I know Chris Marsh Clark is going to be a wonderful addition to the cast,” McKinnon continued.  

Notably, several additional cast changes are scheduled in April. Casey Likes, Peyton List, and Kate Rockwell will play their final performances on April 26. Kuhoo Verma, who currently stars as Veronica Sawyer, is set to depart earlier, with her final performance scheduled for April 12. Standby Sara Al-Bazali will take over the role of Veronica from April 13 through April 26.

Directed by Andy Fickman, the revival opened on July 10, 2025, and is currently scheduled to run through September 6.  

The creative team includes choreographer Gary Lloyd, set and costume designer David Shields, lighting designer Ben Cracknell, and sound designer Dan Samson. Additional choreography is by Stephanie Klemons, with co-costume design by Siena Zoë Allen. Will Joy serves as music supervisor, and Mona Seyed-Bolorforosh is the music director.
