Privacy & Affiliate Disclosure
The straight story on data and money.
Affiliate disclosure
About Your Seats participates in the Ticketmaster affiliate program. When you click a ticket link on this site and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This arrangement is disclosed at the top of every guide and on every call-to-action button.
Our editorial recommendations are based on our own experience buying tickets and independent research. We link to partners when we believe their products genuinely help our readers. A commercial relationship never upgrades a bad recommendation into a good one on this site.
What we collect
- No user accounts. We don't ask you to sign up for anything.
- Like counts are stored in a small database keyed by article slug and total count. We do not store who clicked — only how many times each article has been liked.
- Browser storage: we save a small flag in your browser's localStorage to remember that you've already liked an article, so you don't like the same piece twice by accident. You can clear it in your browser settings any time.
- Analytics (if enabled): we may use Google Analytics to count page views. Google collects anonymized data per their own privacy policy. You can opt out of GA tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-Out browser add-on.
What we don't do
- Sell your data. Ever.
- Share it with third parties other than the analytics provider above.
- Send you email (we don't even collect emails).
Cookies
The only cookies set directly by this site are those required for analytics (if enabled). Links to Ticketmaster may set their own cookies once you land on their site — their privacy policy applies there.
Your rights
Because we don't collect personal data, there's no account to export or delete. If you want your aggregate like to be removed from one of our articles, email hello@aboutyourseats.com.
