Update – Friday 1/23: As Friday’s general sale opened, the ticket resale market has shifted into much more affordable territory and two new shows were added in North America
Thursday marked a huge day for K-Pop fans: BTS tickets for the ARIRANG World Tour were officially available for presale across the globe.
This forthcoming world tour marks the long-awaited return of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook after members completed their required military service in South Korea. Now, after a four-year hiatus, they’re heading out on a mammoth 79-show stadium run across 34 regions.
Tickets were available starting with ARMY Membership presales, running from Jan. 22–23. A general on sale is set to follow on Jan. 24, with timing varying per market.
Fans were quick to take to social media Thursday afternoon as tickets became available across the U.S. They shared their frustrations with the sale, particularly the fact that thousands of people were ahead of them in the online queue via Ticketmaster.

Others added that Ticketmaster’s servers crashed due to the high demand, or they were kicked-out of line before making it to checkout. Some didn’t even get the chance to make it out of the queue at all.
@Ticketmaster i tried buying bts tickets for the east rutherford shows using my presale access code and was told i couldn’t buy tickets bc i exceeded the limit. i don’t have a single ticket on my account, why did this happen? i tried multiple times and got kicked out of the queue

J’ai pris un membreship pour au final ne pas avoir de place ! Je suis dégoûté vraiment j’ai dépensé 20€ pour rien ! Je suis mega triste ! J’attend de les voirs depuis 2019 et j’ai rien eu… #BTSComeback2026 #BTSWorldTour #btsinparis

And yeah. When it was my turn to buy, TM kicked me right out to the back of the line. I only had one tab open for that date. Thanks a lot, @Ticketmaster. You suck.
If anyone has two extra tickets they'd like to sell for either Tampa show, my daughter and I would love them.

Additionally, there were some fans who paid for an ARMY membership and still weren’t able to score tickets.

However, while there were dozens of fans who shared they didn’t obtain tickets, there were also hundreds of fans who actually scored tickets to a show.

While we typically see fans lashing out at Ticketmaster — no matter the genre — it seems that the ticketer may have done something right for this BTS presale. Ticketmaster is facing a lawsuit by the Federal Trade Commission, accusing it of enabling large-scale ticket scalping. Simultaneously, Ticketmaster and its parent company Live Nation are at the heart of an antitrust case brought forth by the U.S. Department of Justice and 40 states, alleging monopolistic and anticompetitive practices.
| READ: As BTS Tour Ticket Sale Approaches, Mexican Authorities Demand Transparency |
Earlier this week, fans shared concerns after Ticketmaster Fan Support confirmed in a response on X that “ticket prices and venue layouts will be disclosed once tickets are available for purchase.” This response sent BTS fans into a frenzy, arguing that hiding prices until the last-minute means that they are unable to plan financially.
Fans are not alone; authorities are demanding action in Mexico to protect consumers. Profeco (Mexico’s federal consumer protection agency) has moved to intervene in BTS ticket sales after receiving thousands of complaints and requests from fans demanding clearer information before presales begin.
Profeco has formally urged Ticketmaster and promoter OCESA (owned by Ticketmaster parent Live Nation Entertainment) to publish pricing tables, fees, seating maps, and full terms and conditions in advance, including clarity around whether “dynamic” pricing will be used and how inventory will be distributed between presale and general sale.
BTS Tickets on Resale Markets: Prices Starting to Fall
As BTS’ ARMY presale begins, the early resale market is showing the first real signs of movement for fans who may ultimately need to shop on the secondary market. Ticket Club shared a snapshot of the BTS ticket market as of Thursday morning – compared against a similar snapshot earlier in the week, the biggest shift is at the low end: more listings are now appearing at lower entry points, which is helping reset the market from its most volatile pre-onsale extremes.
Across the BTS dates currently listed on TicketClub as of Thursday morning, the overall get-in price is $401, while the typical (median) asking price is about $2,778. Put another way: there are now more ways to “get in the door” at lower prices than we saw earlier this week, even though the median still reflects premium demand for a major stadium tour.
The most useful consumer-facing guidepost remains the typical range: most tickets are currently listed between $1,065 and $5,990 (10th–90th percentile). That band is a helpful reality check during presale week, when a few ultra-high outliers can grab headlines but don’t represent where most listings actually cluster.
Location-wise, Los Angeles (SoFi Stadium) is currently the standout for bargain hunters on entry price, with get-ins in the low $400s (including $401 on 9/2). Las Vegas is another market that looks comparatively shopper-friendly across multiple nights—especially the midweek date (5/27) which is currently the softest entry point in that city. On the higher end of the spectrum, Stanford remains the toughest “typical price” shop in the current pool, with medians still well above most other North American stops.
Mexico City is the clearest “reset” story of the week: earlier snapshots showed very high entry points, but as presale week unfolds the get-in has moved down sharply (now in the mid-$900s), even as the typical price remains elevated—suggesting a wider spread of options and a more competitive low end without necessarily changing the premium nature of that market.
