Sam Barber Expands ‘The American Route Tour’ With New Shows After Stagecoach Standout

Sam Barber’s breakout year is getting even bigger.

The multi-platinum country riser has added five new dates to his expansive “The American Route Tour,” bringing the run to additional major markets later this year. Newly announced stops include Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, San Diego’s The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park, Grand Prairie’s Texas Trust CU Theatre, Phoenix’s Arizona Financial Theatre and The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

Tickets for the new dates will be available through a presale beginning Wednesday, May 6 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by the general onsale on Friday, May 8 at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can register for first access via Barber’s official website.

The added shows arrive on the heels of Barber’s well-received Stagecoach performance, which The Desert Sun called an “incredibly moving set,” and the release of his sophomore album, Broken View, out now via Atlantic Outpost.

Co-written and co-produced by Barber and Joe Becker, with additional production from Aaron Dessner at Long Pond Studio, Broken View finds the Missouri-born artist digging deeper into the raw, introspective storytelling that has quickly made him one of country music’s most watched new voices. The 13-song project has already drawn praise, with All Country News calling it “fully realized, unmistakable, and impossible to ignore,” while Whiskey Riff described it as “incredibly impressive.”

Barber’s rise has been swift. Raised on a farm in southeast Missouri, he began playing music as a teenager after picking up his great-grandfather’s Gibson guitar. Since then, he has amassed more than 3.4 billion global streams, earned an RIAA Gold certification for his 2024 debut album Restless Mind, and notched major traction with singles including the 2x Platinum-certified “Straight and Narrow” and Platinum-certified “Indigo” featuring Avery Anna.

He has also shared stages with Bruce Springsteen and Ed Sheeran, appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show and CBS Saturday Morning, and landed “Tear Us Apart” on the soundtrack for the blockbuster film Twisters.

“The American Route Tour” continues this spring with dates in Omaha, Wichita, Little Rock, Virginia Beach, North Charleston, Huntsville and Florida, before moving through amphitheaters, festivals and theaters across the country into December. Select dates are already sold out, including stops in Charlotte, Red Rocks, New York and Boston.
