Roundabout Announces 2026–2027 Season Featuring ‘The Full Monty’ Revival

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced its 2026–2027 season, which will include a Broadway revival of “The Full Monty” as part of its upcoming lineup.

The musical, with a book by Terrence McNally and music and lyrics by David Yazbek, is scheduled to begin performances in spring 2027 at the American Airlines Theatre, also known as the Haimes Theatre. The production will be directed by Leigh Silverman, with choreography by Connor Gallagher. Casting and specific dates have not yet been announced.

The Broadway season will open in fall 2026 with a new adaptation of “The Imaginary Invalid,” adapted by and starring Bill Irwin and directed by Brandon J. Dirden.

In winter, the company will present “Mix and Master,” written by Dominique Morisseau and directed by Kamilah Forbes. The production will feature performances by Ruben Santiago-Hudson and Kara Young and is set in a Bronx record shop, incorporating live DJ sets into the staging.

Off-Broadway programming at the Laura Pels Theatre will begin in fall 2026 with “The Heart,” a new musical with a book and additional lyrics by Kait Kerrigan and music and lyrics by Anne Eisendrath and Ian Eisendrath. The production will be directed by Christopher Ashley, with choreography by Mandy Moore.

The winter Off-Broadway production will be “The Grief Eater Near North Venter,” written by Dylan Guerra and directed by Dustin Wills. The play is described as a surreal comic fable exploring themes of grief and loyalty.

The season will conclude in spring 2027 at the Laura Pels Theatre with a revival of “The Vagina Monologues,” directed by Noma Dumezweni. The production is based on a series of interviews and will be presented as a collection of monologues.

Incoming Artistic Director Christopher Ashley said the season reflects the company’s commitment to presenting both established works and new material. “The season Scott [Ellis] and I have shaped builds on what Roundabout has always believed: that theatre can hold the classic and the urgent side by side,” Ashley said in a statement.

Additional details, including casting, performance dates, and ticketing information, will be announced at a later time. For more information and additional details, theatergoers can visit the official Roundabout Theatre website
