Outlaw Music Festival Announces 2026 Tour Dates with Willie Nelson Headlining

The Outlaw Music Festival will return in 2026 with a new round of summer dates with Willie Nelson set to headline. 

The 2026 tour is scheduled to begin July 3 in Irving, Texas. The opening show will feature Willie Nelson & Family along with The Avett Brothers, Sheryl Crow, Wilco, Lukas Nelson, Stephen Wilson Jr., Margo Price, Sierra Hull, Robert Randolph, Don Was and the Pan-Detroit Ensemble, and Lily Meola. 

Nelson’s annual Fourth of July Picnic will take place as part of the kickoff event and will include additional appearances by Billy Strings and Rodney Crowell.

In a statement, Nelson shared, “Being on the road and playing for the fans is what I love to do. We don’t get to do as many shows as we used to, so every night out there means a little more. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone and making it a special time.”

Tickets for the 2026 dates will go on sale to the general public on March 27 at 10 a.m. local time. VIP packages will also be available for select shows. Citi has returned as the official card of the tour, giving cardmembers access to a presale window that opened with the announcement and will run through 10 p.m. local time on March 26 through the Citi Entertainment program.

Additionally, Nelson is gearing up for a limited six-show spring run with his longtime Family Band. 

The brief tour kicks off April 22 at Avondale Brewing Company in Birmingham, Alabama, before continuing to Synovus Bank Amphitheater at Chastain Park in Atlanta, Georgia, Asheville Yards in Asheville, North Carolina, Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, North Carolina, and Live Oak Bank Pavilion in Wilmington, North Carolina. 

Nelson will wrap the run close to home with a final performance at Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, Texas on May 2.
