Mariska Hargitay will spend an additional week on Broadway this summer with an extension of her upcoming engagement in “Every Brilliant Thing” at the Hudson Theatre.
Hargitay is set to begin performances in the solo play May 26, taking over the production from Daniel Radcliffe. Her run, originally scheduled to conclude in late June, will now continue through July 5.
Radcliffe, who currently stars in the production, is scheduled to give his final performance May 24. The actor opened the Broadway staging earlier this year.
Written by Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe, “Every Brilliant Thing” centers on a narrator attempting to navigate family trauma and depression by creating a list of life’s small joys and meaningful moments.

The play first premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it became a recurring hit over multiple summers. It later transferred Off-Broadway to the Barrow Street Theatre in 2014.
The work returned to Edinburgh in 2024 and recently received its West End premiere at London’s @sohoplace theatre with a rotating lineup of performers.
The Broadway production is directed by Macmillan alongside Jeremy Herrin. The creative team also includes scenic and costume designer Vicki Mortimer, lighting designer Jack Knowles, and sound designer Tom Gibbons.
Casting is by Jessica Ronane, while TT Partners serves as general manager. Jhanaë K-C Bonnick is production stage manager. The Broadway engagement is being produced by Second Half Productions, Seaview, and Gavin Kalin Productions.
