Janet Jackson will be visiting the U.S. this summer as an extension of her previous 56-date run of ‘State of the World’ tour.
Jackson embarked on ‘State of the World’ tour last year from September to December, which she renamed after originally announcing a tour titled ‘Unbreakable’ – which was postponed due to pregnancy. In a statement at the time, she explained that the name change wasn’t due to politics, but rather about “people, the world, relationships and just love.”
The final U.S. leg of the tour will kick-off on July 11 in Austin, Texas and will hit 10 select cities across the country before wrapping up on August 7 in Tampa, Florida. In addition to these dates, the R&B star is also set to co-headline multiple music festivals, including Outside Lands, FYF, Essence, and Panorama.
Jackson’s most recent work, Unbreakable, features “Unbreakable,” “No Sleeep” featuring J. Cole, and “BURNITUP!” with Missy Elliott. In 2016, she also dropped the “Cool Summer Mix” editions of “Nasty,” along with a PKCZ remix of “No Sleeep.”
