Upcoming CTF Conference in Florida Highlights Ticketing Consumer Issues, Legislation, World Cup '26

The Coalition for Ticket Fairness (CTF) will bring its annual conference to Florida March 10–13, 2026, convening ticketing businesses, consumer advocates, and policy voices for a program centered on transparency, transferability, and the fast-moving state and federal legislative landscape shaping the resale marketplace.

U.S. Rep. Pat Ryan will serve as the conference’s opening featured guest speaker — a headline moment for an event that organizers frame as a “platform for advancing fairness and consumer protection in live event ticketing.”

Organizers describe the conference as a working forum for “promoting transparency and fair practices within the ticketing industry,” with sessions aimed at helping attendees track what’s moving in statehouses and Washington, what legislation is likely coming next, and what it could mean for ticket buyers, sellers, and platforms. The agenda also leans into technology and marketplace mechanics — including tools designed to improve transferability and increase clarity for consumers.

A featured theme, as described by conference organizers, is the role of resale as a “more important part of today’s ticketing ecosystem,” and the need to keep strengthening the resale experience for fans while maintaining what CTF calls a “fair, open, and competitive marketplace” built on transparency and informed consumer choice.

Across the week, CTF’s agenda is built around two core tracks: policy and marketplace mechanics. On the policy side, the conference will include a “Lobbyist Round-Up” aimed at giving attendees a broad view of what’s moving and what’s coming in ticketing legislation, alongside a panel on coordinated grassroots-to-government advocacy efforts featuring voices from SeatGeek, the National Association of Ticket Brokers (NATB), and public affairs firm CLYDE.

On the marketplace side, sessions are designed to address how resale operates — and how it’s perceived. Highlights include a panel on resale strategies geared toward smaller sellers, a discussion on partnering with teams, venues and artists, and a “Broker’s Boomerang” panel focused on how deceptive resale practices can fuel backlash and anti-competitive legislation, featuring participants from the Progressive Policy Institute, Sports Fans Coalition, and National Consumers League.

The conference will also touch on emerging technology and transferability — topics CTF says are central to strengthening the resale experience for fans while supporting a “fair, open, and competitive marketplace.” A scheduled “Countdown to the World Cup” session underscores how major global events are increasingly shaping ticketing demand and resale dynamics heading into 2026.

Selected session highlights (as listed by CTF):

  • CTF Opening Featured Guest Speaker: Rep. Pat Ryan (U.S. Representative)
  • From Defense to Offense — Automatiq’s Roadmap to Defend Free Markets (State of the Industry-style session led by Automatiq CEO Sam Sherman)
  • Ticket Resale Strategies That Put Fans First — and Set Small Sellers Apart (practical strategies for smaller resellers across data, consignment, retail, and operations)
  • The Lobbyist Round-Up Panel: CTF’s team on the state of ticketing legislation (what’s moving, what’s coming, and what it means)
  • From Grassroots to Government: coordinated PR and advocacy efforts in the ticket resale marketplace (including participation from SeatGeek and NATB)
  • Partnering With Teams, Venues, & Artists (relationship-building and business development across the live entertainment ecosystem)
  • The Broker’s Boomerang: how deceptive resale practices can fuel backlash and anti-competitive legislation (featuring consumer- and policy-oriented voices)
  • Countdown to the World Cup (a session focused on how mega-events are reshaping demand, supply, and marketplace dynamics heading into 2026)

Organizers describe the conference as a forum for “practical, forward-looking solutions” — aimed at improving clarity for fans while supporting what CTF calls a fair, open, competitive marketplace.
