Burning Man Project has released ticketing details for the 2026 edition of Burning Man, outlining a tiered sales structure that blends standard admission with opportunities for participants to directly support art, accessibility, and community participation.
The nonprofit’s annual gathering will return to Black Rock City, Nevada in 2026 under the theme “Axis Mundi,” once again drawing more than 70,000 participants from over 100 countries to collaboratively build the temporary city through art installations, theme camps, and mutant vehicles.
“Burning Man in Black Rock City is the most unique event on the planet, bringing art, creativity, and innovation together to the blank canvas of the Nevada desert,” Burning Man Project CEO Marian Goodell said in a press release. “Over the past 40 years, the culture has grown and millions of people have participated in and been impacted by Burning Man around the world.”
Sunrise Sale Details
The first major ticket opportunity for 2026 will be the Sunrise Sale, which organizers describe as the best chance to secure admission.
Registration for the Sunrise Sale opens January 26 and closes February 3 at 12 p.m. PT, with the sale itself launching February 4 at 12 p.m. PT. Registration is required to participate.
Available ticket tiers include:
- $775 “Pay Your Way” tickets
- “Give the Gift” tickets priced at $975, $1,500, and $3,000
- A limited number of $675 “Get the Gift” reduced-price tickets
New for 2026, Burning Man Project is offering a payment plan option during the Sunrise Sale. Regardless of price tier, all tickets grant identical access to Black Rock City and the event experience.
Higher-priced “Give the Gift” tickets function similarly to charitable contributions, with proceeds helping subsidize reduced-price tickets and fund interactive art, infrastructure, and participation initiatives.
Additional Ticket Programs Returning in 2026
Burning Man Project also confirmed the return of several access-focused ticket programs:
- Ticket Aid Program: Offers $250 tickets to participants with limited incomes
- Renaissance Program: Engages community connectors to invite inspired groups and collectives
- Resilience Program: Provides tickets to those impacted by natural disasters or geopolitical conflict
Applications for these programs are expected to open in late February.
Additional sales phases include the Stewards Sale for core contributors in March and the Main Sale in April. Organizers expect tickets to sell out across the Sunrise, Stewards, and Main sales.
