Alan Jackson is bringing a new live music event to South Florida this summer with the launch of the first-ever Alan Jackson’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere Fest, set for June 12-13 at The Palm Beaches Waterfront Commons in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The two-day festival will blend live music, coastal culture and premium hospitality, marking a new chapter for the Country Music Hall of Famer as he winds down his touring career. The inaugural lineup includes Ella Langley, Old Dominion, Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band, Dylan Scott, Clint Black, Shenandoah, John Anderson, Rodney Atkins, Jammy Buffet, Allen Stone and more. Dusty Slay and JD Spradlin of SiriusXM’s Radio Margaritaville will serve as hosts.
Jackson said the event is designed to give fans a new way to connect with his music and the carefree spirit behind one of his biggest crossover hits.
“I’ve gotten to enjoy so many experiences at my concerts over the years,” Jackson said. “I’m not touring anymore, but I like the idea of still being able to give people an opportunity to have a ‘Good Time’ and enjoy some great country music while they do.”
The festival takes its name and inspiration from Jackson’s Jimmy Buffett collaboration “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” the chart-topping 2003 hit whose laid-back attitude helped define a summer anthem. Organizers say the West Palm Beach setting is especially fitting, as the area reflects the beachside lifestyle tied closely to both the song and Jackson himself. It is also where the music video for the track was filmed.
Nathan Baugh, Jackson’s longtime tour manager and CEO of Peachtree Entertainment, said the concept grew naturally from Jackson’s connection to that lifestyle.
“After 15 years of working with Alan, I’ve seen how much the beach lifestyle and that ‘Five O’Clock Somewhere’ mindset mean to him,” Baugh said. “It’s not just a song – it’s how he lives. This festival is a natural extension of that. At Peachtree, we focus on creating real, memorable experiences, and this one is special because it’s rooted in Alan’s story and a place he’s always loved.”
Tourism leaders in Palm Beach County are also positioning the event as a destination draw.
“Today’s travelers are increasingly planning trips around signature events, and Alan Jackson’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere Fest is a perfect example of how music and place can come together to create an unforgettable experience,” said Milton Segarra, CDME, president and CEO of Discover The Palm Beaches. “This festival captures the laid-back spirit and coastal warmth that define our destination. We invite attendees to stay longer, explore more, and embrace The Palm Beaches lifestyle embodied by this signature event.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 27, with presale registration open now through the festival’s website. Organizers said the event will also feature VIP packages with chef-curated food and beverage offerings, dedicated entrances, air-conditioned spaces and premium viewing platforms.
As part of the ticketing rollout, the festival has partnered with StubHub to offer an official fan-to-fan resale option, giving attendees access to verified resale inventory for sold-out ticket types if plans change.
The new festival arrives just ahead of Jackson’s sold-out stadium show in Nashville in late June, which is expected to mark the end of his touring career. While he may be stepping away from the road, Alan Jackson’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere Fest appears positioned as a new annual live music destination built around his legacy, his lifestyle and one of country music’s most enduring party anthems.
